Quick AN: The parchment where two characters are writing to each other but aren’t in the same place is a wizarding product I’ve invented called Quick Scrawl. It’s basically like any chat program you’re familiar with - facebook, Skype, MSN - but written down. When the parchment fills, the user clears it with a particular spell and starts writing again. “Message unable to send” is an automated reply when the magical connection or ‘link’ is broken.
